Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church to Celebrate 125 Years
Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church has its 125th Anniversary this coming summer on Saturday and Sunday, June 24 and 25. Leading up to the celebration, there have been Historical Trivia presentations shared about the Founding Fathers, the serving Pastors over the years, the various historical elements rescued from the destruction of the 2007 tornado, and the ministries at Ebenezer over the decades. These presentations have been given the third Sunday of each month, with copies of the presentations published in the Ebenezer monthly newsletter.
Saturday afternoon activities are being planned for the adults, the youth, and visiting Pastors, followed by a reception in the church. The adults will have appetizers in the dining room, and a special youth room will be set up to serve child-friendly foods.
Saturday evening there will be a Musical Celebration in the Sanctuary beginning at 6:30. There will be merchandise for sale that reflects our theme for the weekend being “Find Us Faithful”.
Sunday morning everyone is invited back for a breakfast beginning at 8 am. A special Sunday worship service will begin at 10 am. There will be plenty of time for fellowship for current and past Ebenezer members, as well as visitors from our community and beyond. Please mark your calendars now to save the dates of this celebration.
